The Miss Universe organization regrets to announce the withdrawal of Panama’s candidate from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant. This decision has been taken after a thorough evaluation by our disciplinary commission.

The disciplinary committee, charged with maintaining the integrity and values of the pageant, conducted a full audit of the matter and, based on the information gathered and reviewed, has concluded that withdrawal is the most appropriate course of action under the current circumstances.

It is important to note that we made this decision with the utmost respect for all parties involved. Our number one priority remains the welfare and transparency for all of our candidates, who exemplify diversity, talent and dedication.

The Miss Universe organization wishes to stress the importance of maintaining confidentiality and respect during this process. Over the years, our pageant has been a beacon of diversity, inclusion and empowerment for women around the world. In this regard, adhering to strong ethical principles, such as confidentiality and respect, is essential to maintaining the integrity of our organization and the well-being of our participants.

The Miss Universe Organization maintains a deep commitment to the values of integrity, transparency and equity. As custodians of a pageant that celebrates cultural diversity and women’s empowerment, we are guided by principles that ensure our representatives authentically reflects the culture, the spirit and values of each of their countries.

After a thorough review, we regret to announce that Miss Irina Zakharova, selected as Miss Universe Armenia, did not meet the requirements stipulated in Section 8.02 of the Miss Universe Preliminary Pageant License Agreement. This situation is also a violation of our National Directors’ Operations Manual, which requires the titleholder to possess a valid passport from the country she represents.

Our Director’s Manual highlights, in section 3, that “The winner must have a valid passport issued by the country she represents.” The internal investigation confirmed that the current titleholder was not born in Armenia, has not resided in Armenia for most of her life, and does not hold dual citizenship. She is therefore not eligible to participate in the finals of the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.

However, in line with our values of inclusion and justice, the Organization has decided to award the title of Miss Universe Armenia to one of the eligible finalists. This decision reaffirms our commitment to a fair and equitable process that respects the norms and ethical standards of the pageant.

We urge our partners in Armenia to promptly select the new titleholder, recognizing that the final pageant will take place in less than a month. We are confident that these steps will help safeguard the integrity and prestige that characterizes the Miss Universe pageant.

The Miss Universe Organization is aware of the confusion and concerns that were recently raised after the results of the Miss Universe Fiji pageant were called into question. We would like to assure all fans, participants and parties involved, that we have investigated this matter with the utmost seriousness and with the commitment to clarify the situation in a reasonable time.

There have been conflicting reports regarding the winner of the pageant. While Manshika Prasad was announced as the winner of the Miss Universe Fiji pageant, information posted on the Miss Universe Fiji organization’s website and official Instagram account suggest that Nadine Roberts was the winner, due to alleged voting irregularities.

The Miss Universe Organization, after communicating with the parties involved to better understand how events unfolded, and after reviewing that the processes and results of the national pageant have complied with the Organization’s transparency and fairness policies, and with our “pageantry 101” standards, has determined that the winner of Miss Universe Fiji 2024 is Miss Manshika Prasad.

The purpose of this investigation and consequential decision was to ensure that the true winner will be the one representing Fiji, fairly and honestly, at the upcoming pageant in Mexico.
